The Pitcher's Armband (Japanese: 遠投の腕輪) is an Armband in Nintendo DS Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer.

Wearing a Pitcher's Armband will cause any item that Shiren throws to fly away in that direction as Silver Arrow, through any Monsters and walls.

Check for a Pitcher's Armband by equipping the Unidentified one, and throwing a disposable item you don't mind losing. If the item hits and wall, it is not a Pitcher's Armband.

The effect of a Pitcher's Armband is included in one "rescue reward" armband: the Ace's Armband.

Adventure Log Entires

Adventure Log entry #61 requires the player to 'power-throw a Melding Jar'. Equip a non-Cursed Pitcher's Armband and throw a Melding Jar, an empty jar will also satisfy this task.

Tips For Use

Caution

Any item thrown with a Pitcher's Armband equipped will fly away and be permanently lost, including items thrown while hypnotized by Gaze Family Monsters and those knocked away by Cell Armor Family Monsters.

  • Unequip this armband when throwing any Jars, for use or for identification purposes. Jars thrown with a Pitcher's Armband will fly away and not break, losing the contents inside.
  • Highly congested Monster Houses can be cleared out by throwing items through walls from a distance without being place in danger.
  • Iron Arrow deal more damage than Silver Arrow, and work as the latter when fired with this armband.

Throw items through straight lines of monsters to affect them all

  • Gitan bags of high amounts can defeat lines of monsters. Damage = 1/10 of Gitan number
  • Thrown Weapons and Shields will deal damage of the amount of their upgrade value and damage dealing Runes, but can still miss.
  • Herbs will inflict their effect on all monsters they pass through e.g:
  • Staves will inflict their effect on all monsters regardless of their amount of charges as a [0] staff can also inflict the effect. Therefore, staves are best to be thrown when they are at [0] uses.
  • Mass-produce certain Monster Meats by throwing one Meat at a line of monsters, turning them all into that monster. Take precautions depending on the specific monster.

  • The Fortuneteller in Bamboo Village continuously tells the player:
