The Kigny Axe (Japanese: キグニキングの斧) is a Weapon introduced in the Nintendo DS port of 
Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer. It bears the
This rare weapon is only found in the Ceremonial Cave bonus dungeon after defeating the King of the Kigny. On floors 25 - 29 of the Ceremonial Cave, one of the Gitan bags located inside a Vault may be replaced by a Kigny Axe or Kigny Shield. See Vaults for strategies for finding and accessing a vault.
The game will only generate one Kigny Axe at a time, so if you have one in storage you won't be able to find another unless you lose, sell or Fuse it with another weapon.
By the time you've invested enough effort into repeatedly clearing Ceremonial Cave, searching, and finally finding a Kigny Axe, it probably isn't so impressive anymore. For how rare the item is, the ability isn't exactly game-changing, and not worth repeating the dungeon to obtain, other than for the 100% completion aspect. Why this item is so rare is mystifying.
