Weeds (Japanese: 雑草) is a herb in 
Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer. Eating Weeds has no effect beyond increasing Shiren's Fullness by +5, and throwing them has no unusual effect. A Herb of Revival will turn into Weeds after being used to revive Shiren. Members of the Field Bandit family can turn items on the dungeon floor into Weeds, throw Weeds to attack, and the higher level types can sometimes transform items in Shiren's inventory into Weeds. Also, when Shiren is transformed into a member of the Bandit family, he can throw Weeds at will. This could possibly be useful in a large shop where the player could create huge amounts of weeds to sell. This may be possible in conjunction with the Great Hall Scroll, which could allow for larger areas to sell weeds.
Tips For Use
- Weeds are excellent candidates to be inserted into a Jar of Change, or as an emergency food source.
- Weeds can be thrown to deal 2 damage. Notably to defeat Dead Soldiers as they only have 5 HP.
- Weeds can be sold for a trivial amount of Gitan which in some rare instances might just make the difference between being able to purchase an item or not.
- Weeds can be consumed to increase fullness by 5 points. While not enough to be relied on, every bit counts.
