The Blast Shield (Japanese: 地雷ナバリの盾) is a Shield in  Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer. It bears the (Blast) Rune which halves the damage from explosions caused by Exploding-type monsters and Traps. This includes the following monster families:

• Popster Tank Family

Normal: 20, 30, 40 or 50 damage
Blast Shield: 1/2 of original damage depending on monster level.

• Spike Bomb Family

Normal: left at 1 HP
Blast Shield: damage equal to 1/2 of current HP.

Trap types:

• Big Landmine Trap.

Normal: left at 1 HP
Blast Shield: damage equal to 1/2 of current HP

• Landmine Trap.

Normal: damage equal to 1/2 of current HP
Blast Shield: damage equal to 1/4 of current HP.

Tips For Use

• Combine a shield with a Blast Shield in a Melding Jar to add the seal to the shield.
• In dungeons with Cranky Tanks who move at Double Speed and can attack twice per turn, without a seal, Shiren will be taking 50 damage twice each turn.
