How to make a new project[edit source]

Create a new article in the Mystery Dungeon Wiki namespace which has the name of your project. For instance, if you wanted to make a project to translate the wiki into Greek, you could make the article "Mystery Dungeon Franchise Wiki:Projects/Greek translation".

The project page itself should be clear on what the project is trying to achieve. It may include things like:

  • An overview of what the project aims to do.
  • A detailed to-do list for the project.

Once the project page is ready, remember to add it to the list of current projects below.

As for categorization, add it to Category:Projects with a sort key of the project name. (for example, for a Greek translation project you would put [[Category:Projects|Greek translation]] at the bottom)

UP's in need of cleanup or more info:
  • Introduction to Basic Gameplay: One of the biggest priorities on the wiki. This page and the game-specific versions should exist to help beginner players understand the most basic gameplay elements we all take for granted.
  • Gitan
    • The page has info that needs testing as well as lacking in info from games not yet documented on the wiki.
  • The Winds of Kron
    • Decent page as it is. But game differences could probably be added such as the different Winds of Kron values for each game/dungeon and how they differ, etc.
  • Koppa, Asuka
    • Could use a better summary
  • Sheriff, Guard Dog
    • Summary
    • Info about Sheriff / stealing monster houses.
  • The main (about the franchise) page is in need of cleanup and additional notes about each game in the franchise.
  • Each games hub-page could use cleanup to look more like a Wikipedia page. With a proper about the game section, etc.
Pages that need work:
  • Shiren 1, Magic Castle, Shiren 3, etc... need better descriptions for armbands.
  • All games: Monster houses needs more pages/info. More info is needed on special types of monster houses.
    • Shiren 1 is filled out.
  • All games: Each major category pages should have its own navbox.
  • Most games could use some data-mined pictures. Shiren 4 only has half its trap sprites available.
  • All games: Location pages need proper summaries, services, inhabitants, etc. the Canyon Hamlet template should be used.
  • All games: States and status conditions across the wiki tend to need more info. Such as how to obtain them, how to cure them, etc.
  • Shiren Monsters Netsal
Wanted Pages
  • Story & Plot overviews.
  • Categories need sub-categories. Example: States and Status Conditions have their own category. Other gameplay elements need their own categories so they're easier to sort through and find pages for.
  • Games need their own category so all categories under them can be added to it. Example: Shiren 1 Gameplay Elements, Locations, etc. all would be added to the Shiren 1 category.

Miscellaneous[edit source]

The DS section of the Shiren 1 page was (almost) entirely missing these monster-type values.
This puzzle walk through could use improvement.

Wrong names on Files

  • Radish family monsters might be wrongly listed as Raddish (Shiren 1 NDS)
  • Fog Hermit is wrongly listed as Frog Hermit (Shiren 1 NDS)
  • Chainhhead wrongly listed as Chain Head (Shiren 1 NDS)
  • DS2: Armor ward was wrongly listed as Bulky Shield. The file for the shield now has the wrong name as well.
  • DS2: Wooden Mallet (Shiren 3 official name) file is wrongly listed as Wooden Hammer (Fan name)
  • Flying Fowl is wrongly listed as Flyin Fowl (Shiren 1 NDS)
