The Scroll of Light (Japanese: あかりの巻物) is a scroll in Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer.

Reading a Scroll of Light reveals the full map on the top and bottom screens (if the player has them enabled), and all Monsters, Characters, and item locations for the current floor. Additionally, nearby monsters in hallways will become visible on the main screen (as when wearing an Armband of Sight).

This effect persists until Shiren leaves the floor.

Tips For Use

A Scroll of Light can be used to identify the location of Dungeon Shops and Vaults, by the positions of items, if they are present on the current floor.
Monsters and Monster Houses can also be located without awakening their inhabitants.
