The Kigny Seed (Japanese: キグニ族の種) is a herb in 
Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer. Eating a Kigny Seed will put Shiren into a Kigny state for 30 turns, where the player will lose all controls and Shiren will move around and attack any Monster or Character in sight, but not Shopkeepers. After stealing from a Shop Kigny Shiren will attack Shopkeepers, Guard Dogs and Sheriffs.
Monsters with a 'Kigny' status will move around attacking any entities they see except Shopkeepers aswell, and cannot use special abilities during this time.
Tips For Use
- Kigny Seeds make for decent weapons against monsters as it will temporarily disable their special abilities, making them safer to fight.
- You can use this seed to easily intentionally level up a monster by having them kill another nearby monster.
- If Shiren dies while in a Kigny state, it will unlock an entry in the Adventure Log ("53. Defeated while a Kigny").
- Fear Radish's are notorious in the Shiren community as they throw these herbs at you. If one ever misses you and you haven't identified it by that point, you can easily identify this herb then.
- If you decide to carry these around as weapons, it is best to leave them inside of your Jars so there is less chance of being Hypnotized into eating it yourself.
