Shopkeepers (Japanese: 店主) are enemy characters that normally interact with Shiren and manage Town Shops and Dungeon Shops in 
Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer. Upon being attacked by Shiren, or being labeled as a thief (See: Thievery), they become hostile, where they will follow and attack Shiren and can no longer be spoken to.

- They have very high attack and defense and move at Double Speed.

Shopkeepers can be found in Bamboo Village, Mountaintop Town and the Underground Stream Village. A shopkeeper can be seen confronting Kechi the Masseur during the quest Kechi the Masseur.

- The shopkeeper in Bamboo Village has a wife. Simply named Shopkeeper's Wife.
- If you use a Monster Scroll in a shop with unpaid Items in your Inventory, you'll create a monster house full of Sheriffs and Guard Dogs.
