The Seed of Misfortune (Japanese: 不幸の種) is a Herb in 
Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer.
Eating a Seed of Misfortune will decrease Shiren's Level by -3 and HP will decrease accordingly. If Shiren is level 1, nothing will happen. If Shiren is level 2 or 3, their level will still be reduced to 1.
Equipping an Antidrain Armband will protect Shirens level from decreasing.

Throwing a Seed of Misfortune and hitting a Monster with it will reduce that monster's level by 3, which in most cases will change that monster into the level 1 form of its family.
Tips For Use
- Seeds of Misfortune make Identifying Items in The Final Puzzle is made considerably more risky.
- Equip an Antidrain Armband to consume Seeds of Misfortune with no negative effects, though replenishing 5 current Fullness each.
