The Herb of Victory (Japanese: 無敵草) is a herb introduced in the Super Famicom release of Mystery Dungeon 2: Shiren the Wanderer. Eating an Herb of Victory will make Template:ShirenPC invincible to damage for 20 turns. The effect from an Herb of Victory does not protect against other non-damaging effects (from Traps, spells, Herbs, Monsters, etc). When thrown at a monster or NPC, this herb will impart its effect to them, making them invincible for 20 turns.
Tips for use
- This herb is one of the penultimate tools to utilize during any critical turn, and often should be used as a near guaranteed way to survive any situation that can get you killed.
- Keep in mind that this herb will not stop dangerous effects from happening to you, such as a riceball transformation from a Skull Wraith or Skull Demon.
- If you are creating your own monster house with a Monster Scroll, especially if there are dangerous monsters such as Fear Radish's on the floor, it can be a good idea to eat this herb the turn before reading the scroll. This will grant you some leeway in tackling the monster house.
