Riceball (Japanese: おにぎり) is a Status Abnormality in Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer.
Effect on Shiren
Under the 'Riceball' status, Shiren does not possess the attack power, defense or Fusion of the currently equipped Weapon, Shield orArmband. You cannot open your inventory, use items or access Shiren's 'underfoot'. Any damage dealt to enemies as a Riceball is determined based on Shiren's current level and Strength.
Triggering a Rotten Trap as a Riceball will lead to instant death for Shiren.
Effect on Monsters
Will keep their normal attack, defense, HP and Speed but cannot use special abilities. Monsters that naturally move at Double Speed will retain this and will only be a Riceball for ~5 turns.
How to get affected
- Get hit by the magic attack of a Skull Wraith or a Skull Demon that has a Riceball effect.
- Trigger a Riceball Trap.
- Get hit by the ability of a Rice Boss or a Rice Master.
- Successfully swing a Doppelganger Staff or a Bufu's Staff at an Air Devil Family Monster that has not been previously Sealed.
How to cure
Because the player cannot access their inventory as a Riceball, there are limited options for curing this negative status.
- Wait for enough turns for the effect to wear off.
- Get hit by the magic attack of a Skull Wizard that has a transform effect.
