This Sleeping Herb page is about the Nintendo DS release. For the Super Famicom release, see Shiren 1 SFC:Sleep Herb.
For the lore page, see Shiren:Sleeping Herb.
The Sleeping Herb (Japanese: 睡眠草) is a Herb introduced to the Super Famicom release of Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer.
Eating a Sleeping Herb will cause Shiren to fall Asleep for 5 normal Speed turns. Throwing a Sleeping Herb and hitting an entity with it will cause them to fall asleep for 5 turns. In addition to the normal availability (below), Sleeping Herbs are thrown by Sleep Radishes.
Tips For Use
- If a Unidentified herb appears from fighting a Sleep Radish, it is definitely a Sleep Herb, or a Poison Herb if it was thrown while Shiren was asleep. Write a name for the herb, so you don't eat it, and can recognize another one later.
- Throw this herb at monsters to stop them for 5 normal speed turns. Double Speed monsters will only be asleep for 2 - 3 turns, and Slow monsters will be asleep for ~10 turns.
- Equip a Sleepless Armband to eat Sleeping Herbs with no ill effects, replenishing 5 current Fullness each.
