This Medicinal Herb page is about the Nintendo DS release. For the Super Famicom release, see Shiren 1 SFC:Medicinal Herb.
For the lore page, see Shiren:Medicinal Herb.

The Medicinal Herb (Japanese: 薬草) is a Herb in Nintendo DS Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer.

Eating a Medicinal Herb will restore up to 25 HP. Eating one when Shiren has full HP will increase maximum HP by 1. Throwing and hitting Characters has the same effect, but their maximum HP cannot increase.

Unless they have lost HP, hitting Monsters with a Medicinal Herb will have no effect. If the monster is Ghost-type, they will take 25 HP of damage.

Tips For Use

  • Due to their low amount, Medicinal Herbs quickly become useless as healing items. Hold Shiren 1 DS Button A.png and Shiren 1 DS Button B.png to heal to full HP, then eat the Herb increase maximum HP.

Things to Avoid

  • 25 damage is very low against high level Ghost-type Monsters, and thrown items can always miss. Don't depend on throwing this herb.
