For the lore page, see Shiren:Dragonward.

The Dragonward (Japanese: ドラゴンシールド) is a shield in Nintendo DS Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer. It bears the Shiren 1 DS - Shield Rune Dragon.png (Dragon) Rune which halves the damage done by fire produced by Dragon-type Monsters.

This Shield will half the amount of otherwise fixed damage dealt by dragon fire, from the Dragon Family and the Firepuff Family.

  • Firepuff fire: 10 damage - Dragonward seal: 5 damage.
  • Ark Dragon fire: 50 damage - Dragonward seal: 25 damage.

Tips For Use

  • Combine a shield with a Dragonward in a Melding Jar to add the Shiren 1 DS - Shield Rune Dragon.png seal to the shield.
  • A Shield with a Dragonward seal is highly recommended for later dungeons that are inhabited by Ark Dragons, who will constantly breathe fire at Shiren, from across the map, dealing 50 fixed damage each time.
