This Kabra's Blade page is about the Nintendo DS release. For the Super Famicom release, see Shiren 1 SFC:Goken-Manjikabra.
For the lore page, see Shiren:Kabra's Blade.

Kabra's Blade (Japanese: 剛剣マンジカブラ) is a weapon introduced in the Super Famicom release of Mystery Dungeon 2: Shiren the Wanderer. A new Kabra's Blade lacks any weapon Melding and Seals.

On natural progression of Template:GameTitle DS dungeons, the player will obtain a Kabra's Blade from defeating the Tainted Queen at the end of the Tainted PathDS. A list of strategies that ensure that a Kabra's Blade is dropped can be found here.

On rare occasions, a Kabra's Blade can be created using a Jar of Change or dropped after defeating a Thiefwalrus Family Monster. See the 'Locations' table for detailed information for in which dungeons this can occur as well as in towns.

Very rarely, the Spoiled girl may appear in Cryptic Rock Valley and may give Shiren a Kabra's Blade after trading her a random item from the Shiren's inventory.

Kabra's Blade can also be easily obtained from Rescue Passwords for Items 1.

It may not be a wise decision to combine Seals into a Kabra's Blade, as if it is further upgraded, they will be lost.

Further Upgrades

Like a Katana, a Kabra's Blade can be transformed into a stronger weapon when fully upgraded and given to the Blacksmith in Bamboo Village or in Mountaintop Town and 1000 Gitan is paid.

Shiren will be given a Kabra Reborn with no upgrades or seals though has a higher upgrade potential of +99 and a higher base damage of 50.

Tips For Use

  • When finding a powerful item like a Kabra's Blade in a difficult dungeon such as Fay's Final Puzzle, the main objective is to survive -if Shiren is defeated, you lose that item, so use any means of upgrading or adding seals necessary to stay alive.
