This Herb of Sight page is about the Nintendo DS release. For the Super Famicom release, see Shiren 1 SFC:Vision Herb.
For the lore page, see Shiren:Herb of Sight.
The Herb of Sight (Japanese: めぐすり草) is a herb introduced in the Super Famicom release of Mystery Dungeon 2: Shiren the Wanderer.
Consuming it will provide the 'Clear-Sighted' status which reveals all Traps and Invisible Monsters indefinitely as long as the status persists, which, unaltered, can be for the remainder of the floor. It can also cure you of Blindness.
When thrown at a monster or Character, instead of the usual two damage, this herb will allow them to see much better. A clear-sighted monster or ally see invisible Air Devil Family Monsters and will attack such, or Monster-Shiren.
Tips For Use
- You can eat this herb to immediately cure Blindness.
- Keep a Herb of Sight on hand in the case that you find a Monster House. What happens too often is after defeating all the monsters, a Pitfall Trap gets triggered, and the player changes floors, losing all items Items.
- The Character, Blinded Girl needs you to throw this herb at her in order to be able to see again. Keeping an Herb of Sight with you for the first few floors of Table Mountain can reward you with a maximum Strength increase of 1.
