The Skull Staff (Japanese: ガイコツまどうの杖) is a staff introduced to the Super Famicom release of Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer. It is dropped randomly by a Skull Mage Family Monster. When swung, it will fire a magic bolt that can have a number of random effects:
- Warp the target to a random location on the floor.
- Confuse the target
- Make the target fall Asleep.
- Slow the target.

Skull Staves are only dropped by members of the Skull family of monsters.

Trivia
- Despite Skull Mages being able to cast magic attacks with knockback and Double Speed effects, magic from a Skull Staff cannot cause these effects.
