The Pickaxe (Japanese: つるはし) is a Weapon in Nintendo DS Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer. It bears the Shiren 1 DS - Weapon Rune Pickaxe.png (Dig) Seal which can allow Shiren to dig through walls, however, has a chance to break after every use.

If you take it to a Blacksmith and pay 1,000 Gitan, he'll ask to hold on to it until your next adventure and when he returns it, it will be an unbreakable Pickaxe which now has the Shiren 1 DS - Weapon Rune Dig.png (Gold dig) which can dig through walls and will never break.

Things to Avoid

  • Do not meld a fresh Pickaxe into any weapons. If accidentally striking a wall and digging, the sword itself can break and disappear.

Tips For Use

  • Combine a weapon with an unbreakable Pickaxe in a Melding Jar to add the Shiren 1 DS - Weapon Rune Dig.png seal to the weapon
  • An unbreakable pickaxe can be used terraform the floor, reach hidden Vaults, expand the perimeter of Shops, or escape from Monster Houses.
