Etrian 1:Red Lion Shoppe

Red Lion Shoppe (Japanese: 赤獅子商店) is a traveling store that can be found in dungeons in  Etrian Mystery Dungeon. It is run by Lizley. It appears randomly in dungeons and takes the place of an entire room. On the bottom screen map, this room appears in purple. The store contains between 6 to 9 Items that can be purchased. It is possible to sell items by putting them on the floor and talking to Lizley. It is also possible to Meld Weapons and Shields by talking to Lizley.

Players have to be careful not to forget to talk to Lizley to pay, as Lizley doesn't ask the player to pay before leaving. If the player retrieves or uses an item from the store and leaves without paying, Lizley sends her Red Lions against the player. All monsters in the zone disappear and several Red Lions spawn. All spawns in the zone will be Red Lions, until the player leaves it. It is then no longer possible to change leaders or use an Ariadne Thread. If the player leaves the area and returns, the Red Lions and Lizley will no longer be there, and if the player meets Lizley again, there will be no consequences. Stealing from the Red Lion Shoppe is the only way to find Red Lions and is necessary to fill the Monster Tome.

It is possible to fight against Lizley. She has 10 HP, gives 1 EXP, doesn't hit very hard, and won't appear in the Monster Tome. Defeating her has no consequences, other than it no longer being possible to talk to her to buy or sell items. If the player steals items while Lizley is defeated, it doesn't change anything about Red Lions who will appear and fight against the player.
