Etrian 1:Sword
Swords (Japanese: 剣) in Etrian Mystery Dungeon are items that can be equipped in the weapon slot by Landsknechts, Protectors, Dancers, Sovereigns and Wanderers, except for the Knife which can be used by all classes.
They increase attack, can have additional effects and some of them can be forged to add effect like stats increase or additional effect when hitting a monster. Normal attacks with Swords inflict Cut Damage. To be forged, each Swords requires a different amount of materials. In addition, Swords can be enchanted to a maximum of +99, each enchantment increasing attack by 1.
Swords can be bought at Chano Retail, at Red Lion Shoppe or found in dungeons. In order to be bought in Chano Retail, each Sword requires you to have sold different materials to Chano Retail. In addition to the materials, the Market District must be developed in order to unlock some Swords. In the store at Chano Retail, Swords are sorted depending on the attack.
A Sword must be equipped to use some Landsknecht's skills.
