Ariadne Thread (Japanese: アリアドネの糸) is an Item in Etrian Mystery Dungeon that can be used to return to Aslarga while in dungeons. It cannot be used while in a boss room or while under the effect of Head Bind. It is recommended to always have one or several Ariadne Thread while exploring.
Locations
Ariadne Threads can be found in Emerald Copse, Pristine Stream, Ravine Fork, Haunted Woods, Animal Trail, Crystalline Peak, Snowy Cavern, Torrential Ravine, Mountain Cleft, Muspelheim, Forest of Gates, Burning Cave, Glacial Cave, Thunderous Cave, Utopia, Equinox Garden, Champion's Hall, Mysterious Labyrinth (extended), Emerald Copse (extended), Pristine Stream (extended), Haunted Woods (extended), Crystalline Peak (extended) and Torrential Ravine (extended), and can be bought in Red Lion Shoppe.
One Ariadne Thread is given as a reward of the Quest WTB: Grasseater Legs. This quest can be completed several times and requires 2 Grasseater Legs to be completed. As Grasseater is a weak monster that can be found in the first dungeon, this quest can be used to get as many Ariadne Thread as you want.
When entering Kasumi's Inn for the first time, the innkeeper gives 3 Ariadne Threads.
Tips For Use
- If your inventory is full, you can exchange an Ariadne Thread with an item on the ground and use the Ariadne Thread while it is on the ground. This will allow you to take one more item with you.
