Scutum (Japanese: スクトゥム) is a Shield in 
Etrian Mystery Dungeon. It has 14 Defense, reduces damage taken from Ice attacks and can be Forged 3 times to add additional effects.
Locations
Scutum can be bought at Chano Retail for 500 Ental after selling 2 Indigo Vine and 2 Tough Vine.
Scutum can be found in Snowy Cavern, Torrential Ravine, Mountain Cleft, Muspelheim, Thunderous Cave, Burning Cave, Utopia, Champion's Hall and Torrential Ravine (extended).
Scutum is given to Protectors as default equipment in Luxury Forts.
Forging
Up to 3 additional effects can be added by Forging. Forging requires to having sold 1 Slate, 1 Shea Fruit and 1 Holly Lumber, each time.
Melding
When another Shield is Melded with Scutum, the cost is 400 Ental for each enchantment added.
