Kirara (Japanese: キララ) is a character in Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series. She is a child Oni and the daughter of the Oni Boss. She made her debut in  Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer 2 - Shiren's Castle and the Oni Invasion in 2000.

Biography

Physical Appearance

Kirara is a young girl with reddish tan skin, red hair, purple eyes, and pointy ears. She wears little clothing, and walks around barefoot. Kirara's eyes are often depicted as hearts when she looks at Shiren.

Powers

Kirara has the power to breathe fire, which she uses to attack enemies.

Personality

Kirara is brave and outspoken. She is determined to get what she wants even if it puts her life in danger.

History

Shiren 2

Shiren and Koppa first meet Kirara while exploring a dungeon, where they find her caught in a Tiger Trap while she laments how there would be a full moon later that night. Although she initially refuses to accept help from a human, Shiren and Koppa ignore her complaints and free her, and after they have left, Kirara quietly expresses gratitude for the help.

Kirara starts observing Shiren, and eventually develops romantic feelings for him, and decides she wants him as her boyfriend, to the dismay of Galaha, whom she finds annoying. Back home on Onigashima, Kirara and the other Oni discuss their next attack on Natane Village and Shiren Castle, when Kirara announces to her father that she is interested in someone, and he asks to be introduced to him, but she doesn't reveal his identity.

Eventually, Kirara starts observing Shiren more closely, as he, Koppa, and Riku build Shiren Castle, and she slowly befriends the group. To spend more time with her new friends, she decides to visit Natane Village during a festival at night, despite it being a full moon, to which exposure drains life from Oni. After the festival, Riku privately confronts her about this, and she asks him to keep it a secret from Shiren.

On the next day, Galaha lures Shiren and Koppa with Bananas and attacks the two for the frustration caused by Kirara choosing Shiren over him. As Shiren gets ready to fight them, Kirara appears and attacks the group using her fire-breathing ability from afar, making them run away. Kirara announces that she wants to join Shiren on his adventures, and that she wants to help build the castle.
