Kantenbo (Japanese: 干天坊) is a character in the Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series. He made his debut in / Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island in 2024.

Kantenbo is a controversial figure on Serpentcoil Island, considered annoying and often criticized for his search of power. He is scared of Chintala monsters.
History
Shiren 6
Kantenbo is a recluse monk living on Serpentcoil Island, and the leader of a Kokatsu worship cult in search of power. His followers are Monk monsters. He believes that the wanderers visiting the island are dangerous and will cause the island's destruction by taking the treasure and defeating Jakaku. In his search for power, Kantenbo hears of a rumor about the Peach Club spread by the Heavenly Maiden, which leads him to think the weapon would make him unrivaled. For the search, he hires a bodyguard, Asuka, who also has an interest in the Peach Club.

Name Etymology
"Kanten" is a Japanese word for drought, and "bo" is a Japanese word for monk.
