Serpentcoil Island (Japanese: とぐろ島(じま)) is a volcanic island in Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series. It made its debut in / Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island in 2024.

The most distinctive feature of the island is its giant snake-shaped Mount Jatou.

History

Serpentcoil Island is the physical form of Tatsumi. Different parts of the island and the surrounding smaller islands are parts of her body. Tatsumi slept in the sea for about 1,000 years after her unwilling confrontation against Kokatsu. Tatsumi took on a human appearance and started spreading rumors of hidden treasure within the island hoping that someone would rescue her from Jakaku. While the island initially rests on the sea, after Shiren and Koppa defeat Jakaku, the island raises to the sky and makes it rain on both water and some of the treasure hidden by pirates on the island, ending the nearby drought caused by Kokatsu.
