Blacksmith "The Golden Cudgel" (Japanese: かじ屋「鬼に金棒」) is a smithy in Mountaintop Town in Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series. It made its debut in 
Mystery Dungeon 2: Shiren the Wanderer in 1995.
Name Etymology
The Japanese name is an idiom meaning to "give an iron rod to an Oni," symbolizing something that's already strong being made stronger.[1] The English name, on the other hand, is the opposite, as both the Golden weapons and the Cudgel are generally pretty weak. Ironically, the Blacksmiths in the game don't even work on Cudgels, making the English name even more nonsensical.
