The Moon (Japanese: 月) is a location in the Shiren the Wanderer series. It made its debut in 
History
Shiren 1
Shiren spends a night in a hut by a river in a cutscene that plays at the start of the game. The Nintendo DS remake added the moon to the top screen.
Moonlight Village
The Super Game Boy Border for Moonlight Village GB features the moon, and several scenes in the game are set at night. The game is set in the namesake Moonlight Village.
Shiren 2
Exposure to the full moon is harmful to Oni. Kirara
appears early on in the story caught in a trap, lamenting that there would be a full moon that night, when Shiren and Koppa free her. Eventually she decides to endure the full moon to enjoy the festival night with Shiren, Koppa, and Riku. The moon also appears when Shiren stays at Sasumi and Riku's house, when Shiren and Sasumi watch the moon together.

The Otsutsuki Village Elder's Tsuzura leaders to a dungeon called the Tsuzura Maze. When Shiren reaches floor 99, the stairs lead to a portal that exits on the moon. Shiren, Asuka, and Sensei get transported back to the Earth by the Moon People.
Shiren 4
The Night system introduced in Shiren 4 shows the moon at the top part of the screen.
Shiren 5
The night system returns and displays the moon on the top of the DS screen.
Tower of Slumber
The moon appears on the title screen and in the story epilogue.
Shiren 6
The moon appears in some wallpapers, unlockable by completing achievements.
