Gaibara (Japanese: ガイバラ) is a character in the Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series. He made his debut in Super Famicom Mystery Dungeon 2: Shiren the Wanderer in 1995. Gaibara, along with Saruyama, are the first characters from the Shiren the Wanderer series to appear in a different franchise, beginning in the Dragon Quest series with PlayStation World of Dragon Warrior: Torneko: The Last Hope.[1]
