The localized name for this version of the game had different writings in recent years. The first name comes from  Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer 3 - The Sleeping Princess and the Karakuri Mansion and was named Demon Castle of the Desert. The second name comes from the Shiren the Wanderer Series Limited Edition Art Book, and was titled Shiren the Wanderer DS2: Magic Castle of the Desert. The third name comes from another artbook dedicated to the Shiren series, and was titled Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer DS2 - Magic Castle of the Desert.
