The Egg Thing (Japanese: ぴーたん) Monster Family in 
Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer DS2 - Magic Castle of the Desert consists of:
- Egg Thing (Japanese: ぴーたん)
- Running Egg (Japanese: 逃げピータン)
- Flying Egg (Japanese: 飛びぴーたん)
- Hiding Egg (Japanese: 隠れぴーたん)
Monster Ability
- Level 1: It moves at Double Speed, but doesn't attack. it tries to escape from Shiren. It always drops a Riceball.
- Level 2: It moves at Double Speed, but doesn't attack. It tries to escape from Shiren. It always drops a Big Riceball.
- Level 3 - 4: It moves at Double Speed, but doesn't attack. It tries to escape from Shiren. If Shiren is within a 3 Tile-radius, it will always warp. It always drops a random Item.
