Doppelganger (Japanese: 身がわり) is a Status Abnormality in 
Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer DS2 - Magic Castle of the Desert.
Effect on Monsters
Monsters and Characters under this state will take on Shiren's appearance and will be Confused and Sealed. Other monsters will ignore Shiren and attack the fake one instead; if a monster successfully kills the fake Shiren, it will level up.
How to get affected
There are a few ways to affect monsters with this state:
- Swing or throw a Doppelganger Staff at them.
- Any monsters summoned while transformed into a Schubell Family monster will get this status condition immediately.
How to cure
Monsters will be cured from this condition after 30 turns have passed, or when another monster gets affected with this state; the first one will return to its original form, but confused.
