The Fifth Batch of Monster Families(NT) - This name was created by editors to describe something lacking a name. is an unofficial term applied to the 12 Monster Families introduced in DreamCast Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer Gaiden - Asuka the Swordswoman in 2002, which was the seventh Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series game and the fourth to introduce new monsters. Continuing the trend started in Shiren 2, most monster families have 3 levels, with a few having 4 levels. The Rice Changer Family makes a return, featuring all 4 levels along with the Horse Ronin, Polygon Spin, Slug, and Thief Pelican families featuring 4 levels. The Inferno and Kigny Families return as well, leveling from 1 - 99.
