Moonlight Village GB:Fay's Puzzle 013

Fay's Puzzle #013 is one of the 50 puzzles unlocked initially in Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer GB - Monster of Moonlight Village.

Solution

Pick up the three Items on the ground here and equip the Weapon, then use the Herb if you wish. For this challenge, you need some patience. Head left and up into the other room, then pick either side just to lure out the Thiefwalrus. Once it starts coming after you, head back to where you started and walk a ways into that main room.

You want the Thiefwalrus to pick up the other Staff that is beyond the 6 Traps on the ground. Once the Thiefwalrus gets that staff, you need to kill it but you can not let it get past you. So go into the hallway and start attacking the walrus each time it gets adjacent to you. Do not chase it around the circle, you will have to wait for the Thiefwalrus to go around again and again, unless you score a Critical Hit. After you kill the Thiefwalrus, use the Knockback staff on an Egg Thing to kill it and free the Gather. Swap with the Gather, and pummel the enemies blocking the Stairs to reach them.
