Grovyle (Japanese: ジュプトル, Juptile) is a miscellaneous character who has appeared multiple times throughout the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. While he is shown as a non-playable character in most of these games, he can be playable in Explorers of Sky in the Special Episode In the Future of Darkness.

Physical appearance[edit | edit source]

Although his first appearance as a Pokémon started back in the mainline game Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire in 2003, his character's debuts began in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time & Darkness.

The player is able to see Grovyle for the first time on the fifth chapter of the Main Story. He also made his debut as a playable character in the fifth special episode in Explorers of Sky.

Grovyle appears in Super Mystery Dungeon as a non-playable character and can be recruited.
