Playing Rescue Team (Japanese: きゅうじょたいごっこ) is a special video for  Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX. It was released only in Japanese.

Plot

Caterpie and Metapod observe Team Excitementz's (Japanese: ワイワイズ) daily routine. After a few days, Caterpie decides to imitate them. They visit the Kecleon Shop, where they pay with leaves instead of Poké, the Felicity Bank, where they deposit 4 leaves, and the Kangaskhan Storage, where they deposit a half-eaten Apple. They then go in front of the team base. Caterpie repeatedly greets Metapod, goes to the entrance, walks back, and leaves, only to come back seconds later. Metapod eventually starts playing, too. The business owners from Pokémon Square observe and comment on their game, and how they've never seen what an actual adventure in a dungeon is like. Kangaskhan says their admiration will help them become a proper Rescue Team.

During the ending scene, Caterpie and Metapod are shown playing hide and seek at Whiscash Pond. Caterpie hides in a bush, and later startles Metapod while he's facing the opposite direction.
