Ampharos (Japanese: デンリュウ, Denryu) is a character in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. He made his debut in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky in 2009.
He is the leader of the Expedition Society and an eccentric explorer with an ironically poor sense of direction.

Personality[edit | edit source]
Ampharos is an eccentric explorer with a poor sense of direction, often finding himself wandering around the Pokémon world. He likes to joke around. Because of his personality, he may randomly change the rules of the Expedition Society whenever he pleases.
History[edit | edit source]
His main role is in Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, making his first appearance when he ends up in Serene Village and meets the main character and the partner.
An Ampharos also made a small appearance in the Sky Peak arc of Explorers of Sky. While he isn't confirmed to be the same character and he's not shown any of his peculiarities, he meets a Mawile during the same arc, who might also be intended to be the Mawile in the Expedition Society.
