Mystery Dungeon Franchise Wiki:New Game OoO

This is the New Game Order of Operations.

Pre-Release

News

• The news section of the home page and news archive should be updated with relevant sources.
• The most recent releases section of the home page should be updated.
• Pre-order bonus merch and participating locations should be logged.
• Demos should be acquired and if possible, datamined.
• The official site, if any should be added to the official sites page for the series.
  • If it's a new title, a standalone page should be made.
• Official trailers and Promotional Media should be downloaded and documented.

New Pages

• A new namespace should be made for the game. THIS TO BE DONE PRIOR TO THE GAME PAGE BEING MADE.
• If the game is part of a series, it should be added to that series about page/list of games page.
• A page should be made for the new video game.
  • The official website should be linked under the See Also header.
    • If part of a major series, the official website should be added to the series' official websites article.
• Links to the new page should be added to the disambiguation page, if necessary.
  • This refers to games that have been released multiple times; either in the form of ports, remakes, etc.
• A Gallery page should be made for the new game, should one not exist for a prior release.
• Promotional media should be added to the gallery.

Categories

• A top-level category for the game featuring Title and Platform MATCHING THE NAMESPACE should be made.
  • If the game is a re-release, it should be added to the top-level category for that game.
• Namespace Name Media category should be made, along with more in-depth categories for monsters, item types, etc.

Post Release

Formatting

• Infoboxes for items, monsters, locations, etc. should be made.
• Navboxes for items, monsters, locations, characters, etc. should be made.
• If not part of a prior game or series release, a Rosetta Stone image should be made.

Page Updates

• Item, Monster, Location, Character, etc. lore pages for series should be updated.
  • List of Items pages should be updated to reflect new items, new official translations, etc. Other similar pages should follow.
  • Lore pages such as (but not limited to) Monsters should be updated with appearance locations.
  • If previously untranslated item, monster, characters, etc. receive a new official translation, the various Rosetta Stone pages should be updated to reflect this.
• If new Mystery Dungeon Mechanics are updated, Origin of Mystery Dungeon Mechanics, Series-Based Mechanics pages and Monster Mechanics in Mystery Dungeon should be updated.
  • Example 1: Blast Mechanics - Do blasts destroy walls in Shiren the Wanderer titles?
  • Example 2: Fusion Mechanics - Can you synthesize armbands? Can you throw a blank scroll at a Mixer family monster to increase the number of seal slots on your item?
