MA-MO (Japanese: マーモ) is a character in the Shiren the Wanderer series. It made its debut appearance in Shiren the Wanderer 2 - Shiren's Castle and the Oni Invasion in 2000.
Biography
Physical appearance
MA-MO's appearance is based of a normal dresser.
Personality
Other than being a dresser that can move along with Shiren, MA-MO does not have a personality as far as the series shows it.
History
MA-MO makes its first appearance in the Nintendo 64 title, Shiren the Wanderer 2 - Shiren's Castle and the Oni Invasion. Much later in the storyline, it would return in Shiren the Wanderer DS2 - Magic Castle of the Desert. Available to be recruited in Irupa after completing Jahannam Gate, and upgrading one item at the Smithy, Shop & Bank without any allies present. Return a second time to see the cutscene of Chesty re-animating.
MA-MO as an ally is overall useless. It allows Shiren and his team to increase inventory space by carrying items. Each time it is attacked however, it will drop a random item. In addition, monsters will constantly attack it, causing Shiren to constantly pick his items back up and waste turns giving them back to be held. It does not gain levels or have any attack and has a fixed HP of 100. Finally, Shiren must take his items from MA-MO prior to leaving the dungeon, or they will be lost.
