Fay's Puzzles are tutorial puzzles that help you to understand various gameplay aspects and strategies of the game. You can start them by talking to [[Shiren 1/NPCs/Fay the Researcher|Fay the Researcher]] in [[Shiren 1/Locations/Canyon Hamlet|Canyon Hamlet]].


Upon starting a puzzle, you will be reduced to level 1, be given starting stats, and lose any items and/or [[Shiren the Wanderer Wiki/Gitan|Gitan]] you have on hand.

The levels and items that you gain cannot be taken out of the puzzles, but Fay will give you a reward (a random item) for a success. You cannot gain any entries in the [[Shiren 1/Gameplay Elements/Adventure Log|Adventure Log]] while doing puzzles (except for completion of all 50 puzzles), and scrolls read will not count towards [[Shiren 1/Items/Scrolls/Blank|Blank Scroll]] entries.

Fay's Puzzles (Japanese: フェイの問題) are tutorial puzzles in Nintendo DS Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer. They help the player understand gameplay aspects and strategies of the game. A puzzle is entered by talking to Fay the Researcher in Canyon Hamlet.

Upon starting a puzzle, Shiren will be reduced to level 1, be given starting stats, and lose any items and/or Gitan on hand. The levels and items aren't retained outside of the puzzles, but Fay will give a random item reward for success. Nothing that happens in Fay's Puzzles will register in the Adventure Log, and scrolls read will not count towards Blank Scroll entries.
