Money Toss (Japanese: ???) is one of the 50 Fay's Puzzles in 
Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer.
Solution
You will move on top of the item. Now press X and select 'Underfoot'. This allows you to see what is at your feet and interact with it. If you have a jar in your inventory you can select Insert and place the money in the Jar. In the case of this puzzle, you only need to face the monster to the right, and throw the Gitan. Money does damage based on value/10 so a bag of 400 would do 40 damage.
Things To Be Learned
You don't always need to pick items up by walking over them. By dashing with B, you can swap an item on the ground with one in your inventory.
