Shiren 1 DS:Fay's Puzzle: Where to?

Where to? (Japanese: ???) is one of the 50 Fay's Puzzles in  Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer.

Solution

1. Pick up and eat the Herb of Sight before heading south through the corridor into the next room.
2. Head East and traverse the path (using diagonal movements around corners).
3. When you have picked up two Dragon Herbs and a Knockback Staff, turn around and eat one of the former to kill the Vipy that followed you.
4. Swing the Knockback Staff at the Gather across the water and move around to the second Vipy.
5. Use another Dragon Herb on this Vipy and make your way back the first room (using diagonal corner movements again).
6. When inside, avoid the traps and use more diagonal movements to quickly get to the Staircase before the Gather returns.
