Characters

There are many characters in Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series. Characters may be humans, but they may also be monsters, animals, or even objects. Humans may also transform temporarily or permanently into monsters, and some monsters, such as Oni, have a much more humanoid appearance and behavior. Usually, most of the characters tend to be different in each entry of the series, while the usual mainstays are Shiren the Wanderer and Koppa, as the series follows their adventures around the world, never stopping in a single location for too long. While Shiren and Koppa befriend many characters along the way, only some are mentioned or make appearances in later entries. As such, the protagonists of the series are Wanderers.
