Pkmn:Darkrai (character)

Darkrai (Japanese: ダークライ, Darkrai) is a character in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. He made his debut appearance in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness in 2007.

Darkrai is the true main antagonist of the Explorers Titles, preferring to operate in secrecy and shadows. Darkrai pulls strings like a puppet master, instead of getting his own hands dirty.

Biography

Personality

Darkrai is a mysterious character in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games, he's cunning smart, and does whatever it takes to reach his goal of turning the world in darkness and ruling it. He doesn't feel emotion for others nor does care what happens to Pokémon after the world is turned to darkness. Darkrai is a mastermind of events, so he likes to stay behind the scenes. Through he's not afraid to take matters into his own hands.

History

Explorers Titles

Darkrai wants to turn the world into darkness by destroying Temporal Tower and destroying time itself, though not seen in the main story, he later explains that he was the one behind it all. Darkrai also was the one that turned the Hero into a Pokémon, and also separated Grovyle and the hero during their time travel before the start of the story.

In the Post-credits story, he tries to destroy space. He disguises himself as Cresselia, to make Palkia believe that the hero and the Partner are the enemies only to be saved by the real Cresselia. The next time he's seen is in Dark Crater Pit, where he tries to mind control, the Hero only for them to resist. After his failed mind-control attempt, a fight is started. After being defeated in the fight by the Hero, their Partner, and Cresselia, Darkrai tries to escape, only for Palkia to attack. Palkia's attack causes Darkrai to lose his memory. He can later be found in dungeons and recruited, with no memory of his past or actions.

Darkrai appears in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness. Darkrai appears in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. Darkrai appears in Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon. He can join the player's team. He's not connected to anyone in the Connection Orb.

Trivia

• Despite being referred to as a male in the story of the Explorers titles, Dialga doesn't have a gender, as most Legendary Pokémon don't.
