The Outside Scroll (Japanese: リレミトの巻物) is a Scroll in 
Torneko's Great Adventure: Mystery Dungeon
. This Item is exclusive to the Magic Dungeon where it will always appear once on the 20th floor, and can otherwise appear on all floors very rarely. Reading this Scroll will end Torneko's current Adventure, bringing him outside the dungeons with all his items and gold. This scroll does nothing if used while the Box of Happiness is in Torneko's Inventory.
Tips For Use
- The purpose of the Outside Scroll is to allow players to leave the Mysterious Dungeon while keeping all their gold, just like with a Safe, and all their items. They can then sell them for their Shop value to upgrade the Shop or store them in the Vault, starting with 10 on the 5th Stage and up to 60 on the 8th Stage of the Shop. This way players can progressively acquire stronger items through repeated Adventures, by bringing them out of the Vault and back in, as long as they avoid dying in the dungeon. This eventually allows players to reliably get the Box of Happiness on floor 27, which prevents the use of Outside Scroll and will have to be brought back by scaling up the Mysterious dungeon.
- The floors past the 20th one coincide with a significant jump in difficulty for the Mysterious Dungeon with Eye Balls, Voodolls, Ag Devil and Arc Demon getting introduced in quick succession. On their early attempts players shouldn't hesitate to take advantage of the guaranteed Outside Scroll on the 20th floor to leave with their items and gold, until they feel confident enough to go deeper.
- When aiming for the Ultimate Scroll, instead of the Box of Happiness, players should keep an Outside Scroll in their inventory to leave quickly once they've acquired the Ultimate Scroll on the 99th floor. Otherwise they'll have to scale back up the 99 floors of the dungeons after picking up a Box of Happiness.
