This Northwind Field page is about the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS release. For the Nintendo Switch release, see Rescue Team DX:Northwind Field.

Northwind Field (Japanese: きたかぜの だいち, North Wind Land) is a post-credits dungeon in Game Boy Advance/Nintendo DS Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red and Blue Rescue Team. It is unlocked after defeating Raikou in Lightning Field.

In order to enter the dungeon, either the Surf HM must be in the player's inventory or the corresponding move must be known by a party member.

Plot

After receiving the Sunset Wing from Raikou, it will tell the player to head northeast to Northwind Field and find Suicune who will help the player on their quest.

Upon reaching the final floor, Suicune will engage the player in battle and upon defeat and presented with the Sunset WIng, Suicune will turn the Sunset Wing into the Rainbow Wing. Suicune will then tell the player to head to Mt. Faraway, where they will finally find the Mirage Pokémon.

Dungeon information

The player must Quicksave before the dungeon exploration begins.

Suicune is the boss of the dungeon. There are chances to find buried items, as well as weather conditions occurring at random floors, however, there are no Kecleon Shops or Monster Houses. Water Stones can be found on floor 29, and the Lunar Ribbon (replaced by a Link Cable if it had already been obtained) can be found locked on the floor 20.

On September 11, 2019, the Gamepedia Shiren the Wanderer Wiki became the Gamepedia Mystery Dungeon Wiki. As part of the unification project between Fandom and Gamepedia, we absorbed the Rescue Team Wiki and its page histories. Some pages were originally deemed unworthy of being imported and were left behind. We've since imported them with the intent to preserve the edits and history of this community and its contributions, as well as to build upon them. In some cases, these pages have been created again by editors of the MDFW, and the Rescue Team page histories were imported into them at a later date.
