Cursed Cavern (Japanese: 呪いの洞穴) is a side-dungeon in  Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2. It is unlocked after completing the quest Defeat the Fourth Dragon!, which is required to complete Valley of Lament.

Dungeon information

This dungeon has 42 floors, the last floor being that of a treasure room closed by a door and the Geomagnetic Pole allowing to return Oberfay. To open the door it is necessary to use a Key. It is not possible to use the Wanderer's Dig skill, a Pick-axe or a Golden Pick-axe to dig the walls and enter the room. Behind this door there are 9 Wandering Boxes. The items found in the treasure rooms are Weapons, Armors and Books.

The power of the monsters increases from floor 3 and floor 7. The player can build forts up to floor 40 and it is possible to build 6 forts in this dungeon.

Items can be Cursed when found in the Bewitching Dungeon Shop, on the ground, or in a Wandering Box. Also in this dungeon, cursed items can be thrown at monsters to kill them in one hit, however this doesn't work with DOE and killing monsters in this way will not drop any items or EXP.
