Etrian 2:Material
Materials (Japanese: 素材) in 
Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2
are items. Their main use is to be sold, which grants Ental to the player, unlocks new equipment in Garaku Studio and can be used to forge Weapons and Shields. They can also be used to complete quests. Materials are visible in the second tab of the player's inventory.
There are two way of finding materials. On way is to kill monsters, most Monster Drops are found randomly depending on the monster killed, but some require monsters to be killed under certain conditions, such as using a Fire attack. The other way is to walk on Gathering Point in a dungeon. If the character walking on the Gathering Point has invested Skill Points in Herbology, Dendrology or Mineralogy more materials will be gathered when walking on Harvesting Spots, Logging Spots or Mining Spots respectively.
