Etrian 2:Katana
Katanas (Japanese: 刀) in 
Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2
are items that can be equipped in the weapon slot by Dancers, Ninjas, Wanderers and Kenkakus, except for Koshinata
and Hofukure that can also be equipped by Farmers.
They increase attack, can have additional effects and some of them can be forged to add effect like stats increase or additional effect when hitting a monster. Normal attacks with Katanas inflict Cut Damage. To be forged, each Katanas requires a different amount of materials. In addition, Katanas can be enchanted to increase their attack by 1 for each enchantment.
Katanas can be bought at Garaku Studio, at Bewitching Dungeon Shop or found in dungeons. In order to be bought in Garaku Studio, each Katana requires you to have sold different materials to Garaku Studio. In the store at Garaku Studio, Katanas are sorted depending on the attack.
A Katana must be equipped to use some Ninja's skills and most Kenkaku's skills. It is possible to equip another Katana in an armor slot, instead of a shield, with the Kenkaku skill Dual-Sword Mastery.
