Cursed (Japanese: 呪い) items are a game mechanic in 
Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2
. A cursed item cannot be used. A cursed equipment can be equipped but cannot be unequipped, and any forged effects it has will be nullified [1].
When an item is cursed, its icon is replaced by 
, cursed items can be thrown at monsters to kill them in one hit.
Locations
Items can be cursed when found in Valley of Lament, Cursed Cavern, Tsuzuma Woods, Hyperspatial Boundary, Mutation Cave and Spatial Mutation Cave.
How is it removed
- Blessed Scroll, Armory Scroll, Guard Scroll and Gilding Scroll can remove curses
- The Blast Skill Blessing removes all curses.
- Once the party reach the town, every items are uncursed.
How is it inflicted
- Some monsters, like the Curse Locust, have skills that tries to curse an item in the player's inventory.
- Curse Trap curses an item in the party's inventory.
- Curse Scroll curses the selected item.
