Patience! (Japanese: ???) is one of the 50 Fay's Puzzles in Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer.

Solution

Pick up the Knockback Staff and start moving towards the South West.
Ignore the Mamel, even when it starts to attack you.
When you hit the Southern wall, move once place to the West and swing the Knockback Staff at the Gather to the North.
Do the same for the second Gather that moves to take its place.
Now you can simply walk West and enter the Stairway!
